The Value of Alternative Education
Redefining traditional education, these alternatives allow others to teach all or part of your child's classes but still leave you in charge as the primary person responsible for your child's education.
Engaging in your child education is when you (the parent) do the actual teaching, deciding what subjects and which curriculum you'll use. You also directly determine how your child's progress will be evaluated, including grading, testing, and record keeping.
Our program is an alternative to traditional formal school formats. Students learn inside their homes most often led by their parents. There are a variety of motivations and goals in mind when parents consider homeschooling their children. These can include concerns for education quality, the social environment within public schools, an inability of schools to serve the special needs of individual children, a desire to control how children are taught and an intentional focus on one-to-one learning and teaching.
However, in today's world, it's also possible to deviate somewhat from the traditional method by getting assistance from other outside educational sources like:
-
Tutoring programs
-
Dual enrollment options
-
Charter schools
-
Satellite schools
-
Distance learning online schools
-
Homeschool umbrella organizations
